Dear Friends of Brevard Music Center,

In these uncertain times, a singular focus remains our guiding light - the health and safety of our students, faculty, patrons, staff, and Brevard community.

As COVID-19 updates and guidelines constantly change, day by day if not hour by hour, they naturally create a sense of uncertainty regarding the status of our 2020 Summer Music Festival and Institute. Although the lens through which we plan for the upcoming season is somewhat cloudy at the moment, we continue to cautiously move forward with summer planning while closely monitoring new CDC, state and local guidelines.

Brevard Music Center will continue to share updates should any new developments impact our current summer planning and activities. We remain committed to issuing full refunds should we be forced to cancel any performances or educational programs.

As always, should you have any questions about Brevard Music Center's 2020 plans or status, please visit our website at brevardmusic.org.

Stay safe and well,

Mark Weinstein

Dear Friends of Brevard Music Center,

The Brevard Music Center continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 updates and guidance. Our first priority is always to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, patrons, staff and the Brevard community.

We are fortunate that our 2020 Summer Music Festival pre-season concerts do not begin until the BMC Presents: Bryan Sutton's North Carolina Guitar Celebration on May 30 and that our Opening Night: A Beethoven Celebration is more than 3 months away on June 26.

At this time, all 2020 BMC Summer Music Festival concerts and events are still scheduled to proceed as planned.

The good news is that student applications for our premier Summer Music Institute remain strong, as do ticket sales for our summer festival. We continue to plan for an exceptional 2020 season highlighted by the opening of our exquisite new 400-seat Parker Concert Hall, a season-long Beethoven@250 Festival, and a diverse array of concerts and world-class artists including Keith Lockhart, Bryan Sutton, Jane Monheit, Garrick Ohlsson, Gil Shaham, Ray Chen, Johannes Moser, Shannon Whitworth, Woody Platt, Béla Fleck, and more!

Single tickets go on sale on April 1 and our Whittington-Pfohl Box Office is still scheduled to open May 18.

As always, we want patrons and students to feel confident that they are not at financial risk with us if the season is disrupted. Therefore, should we be forced to cancel any performances or educational programs, the Music Center will issue full refunds.

Should you have any questions about Brevard Music Center's plans or status, please visit our website at brevardmusic.org for our most current COVID updates.

Please join us in taking the extra precautions and following the recommendations of health agencies. We wish you and your loved ones good health and safety and look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Mark Weinstein

Brevard Music Center

PS: In our continued efforts to ensure the safety of our staff, patrons, and the wider community, Brevard Music Center—in association with Brevard College and First United Methodist Church (FUMC)—will cancel the FREE April 6 & May 4 "First Mondays" concerts at the Porter Center (Brevard College) and FREE April 7 & May 5 "Chamber Music Tuesdays" concerts at FUMC in Hendersonville. These concerts are NOT part of the BMC 2020 Summer Music Festival.

Dear Friends,

At Brevard Music Center, the health and safety of our community including students, faculty, patrons, and staff are always our highest priority.

For the last several weeks, we have been closely monitoring the news and developments about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are reaching out to you today to assure you that while we are diligently proceeding with our work, we are taking every precaution to protect everyone as we prepare for a very special 2020 Summer Music Festival highlighted by the opening of our new Parker Concert Hall, a Beethoven@250 Festival, and a truly inspiring season of 100 concerts and events.

BMC is carefully following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as local and state public health authorities, and is committed to protecting your health and welfare. As such, all performances are proceeding as scheduled at this time. Should we be forced to cancel any performances or educational programs, the Music Center will issue full refunds.

I want to personally reassure you that Brevard Music Center is being proactive in remaining current on COVID-19 information and in developing our responses to the changing circumstances.

Thank you for being part of the Brevard Music Center family. I look forward to seeing you this summer.
